When your gas oven won’t light the problem is with the pilot light or oven igniter.

 

Pilot light: spills or air movement can cause the pilot to go out. Re-lighting is strait forward. Follow instructions on the oven.

 

Igniter: Most newer ovens have an electronic igniter. This glows when the oven is turned on and lights the gas burner.

 

Replacements are sold at parts dealer’s. Replacing them can be complicated and deals with electrical lines. They also require special handling. If unsure...
